Bosch's New 2009 Built-in Collection

Bosch is certainly a name to be reckoned when it comes to cooking appliances, and for many customers the combination of solid and reliable German engineering and clean, rational good looks is worth paying that little extra for. The good news is that Bosch built-in has just got even better, with the launch of their new 2009 collection of built-in ovens, hobs, refrigeration and other integrated appliances. The product range is certainly more clearly presented, and layered into Bosch’s established Classixx (simple), Exxcel (mid-range) and Logixx (premium) identities, in addition to the unchanged entry-level Basic products, aimed at the contract market. This new structure makes choosing your ideal products much easier, whereas the previous product range was extensive and rather confusing. Bosch enthusiasts will love the way the new ovens look and feel, with their clean geometry and nicely detailed stainless steel or black aesthetic and large door apertures.

Bosch Built-in 2009
Bosch built-in’s impressive features are more than skin-deep

Features
Metal touch controls and large, clear LED displays are common across the whole range, with three types of door construction on offer (drop-down, pullout and side-opening), and Pyrolytic cleaning - the Holy Grail of oven care - available on top-line models in each identity (Logixx HBA76B650B, Exxcel HBA73B550B, Classixx HBA63A250B, Classixx HBA63A260B). Auto-cook programming, memory function, telescopic shelves, safer-touch doors, safety lock and automatic switch-off are featured, and for Jewish users all models even have a Sabbath setting, allowing the oven to stay on at 85° for up to 72 hours.

Bosch Built-in Ovens
Classixx, Exxcel and Logixx model structure makes choosing your oven and matching other appliances much clearer.

Matching Appliances
The new collection extends into some very sleek compact appliances, including steam ovens, microwaves, combi ovens and a coffee-maker. The new rationale has also been applied to Bosch built-in gas, ceramic, induction and domino hobs, in addition to a very nice range of cooker hoods. Combining these cooking appliances with each other is now much easier thanks to the new approach, and adding Bosch’s established and highly-regarded refrigeration, dishwashing and laundry products should also be a very natural step.

What we think: We really like what Bosch have done with these new appliances, and have been working hard to be quick off the mark and make the Bosch 2009 collection available as early as possible to what we know will be a very receptive audience. The results have already proved popular, and Bosch built-in will no doubt continue to live up to expectations in every sense.
